What's this, a part of Shoreditch I haven't managed to photograph? I’ve been coming to this part of London for over ten years now, I don’t want to say that I got in there first, but I remember when the high-rises, concept stores and fancy restaurants were non-existent. All I wanted back then was bagels. I’d intended to shoot this look in front of some pretty standard graffiti but since there was so much footfall (even I couldn’t have styled it out), I decided to go for this intensely blue wall instead. I can’t believe I hadn’t noticed it before? I have no idea how it came to be and how long it'll be there for, but that's what I like about the area. It's ever-changing and you have no idea what you'll notice next.
I did a little bit of shopping my closet for this outfit. For starters, the Finery top has been sitting in a pile with the tags on since I first posted about it, plus this coat has only been seen once in a blue moon (now Lucy wants to borrow it). The Kenzo Kalifornia bag was a new addition thanks to Farfetch and adds a nice pop of colour for SS16. Fingers crossed I don’t spill any of the overpriced street food on it! I’ve switched to Ghana braids for a little while due to my Singapore trip (nobody needs 3 packs of hair in 30 degree heat) and it's a lighter alternative to my box braids. I've not had this style since I was about eleven, and after seeing Fisayo rocking them on Instagram, I thought it was about time I gave them another go. There's so many braid pattern out there and I can't stop staring at the top of my head!
