High Court overturns Baden-Clay manslaughter decision

Gerard Baden-Clay was convicted of murdering his wife Allison, but the Queensland Court of Appeal downgraded the verdict to manslaughter. The High Court has now overturned that decision. What does the case reveal about the trial and defence strategies?

High Court rules on extended joint criminal enterprise  

Three men found guilty of murdering Adelaide man Clifford Hall in 2012 have won a High Court appeal and the case has been sent back to the South Australian Court of Criminal Appeal. But the case failed to overturn a controversial element of common law pertaining to group crimes. A recent case in the UK ruled differently on joint criminal enterprise.
